It wasn't even the 15th and I trick all you guys. SUCKERS! I was just kidding in the first Sept thread.
This Month I have one of my fav "fun" sci fi books, A sci fi book that is listed on all the greatest lists but think very few have read. Two I want to read and the best Zombie book ever.

On Jan 31, of this year I posted this list http://www.wackbag.com/threads/chose-from-this-list-my-next-few-books.149573/ of books I had on my hard drive and needed some input on my next few reads. I got responses from the Wackbagers you would think @BIV @CM Mark @Hudson @Flush.Buy.Fuck @NeonTaster ect....
except one stood out @DeadHeadRedHead said she had read 98 of the 100 and her fav was A Canticle for Leibowitz. I enjoyed reading it, its deep and depressing at what man can do to the earth and will we do it again?

What can I say, most of you at least know of this book, An all time favorite of mine, it was #90 something on that same list above, great Sci Fi.

I own Canticle, a beat to fuck paperback book of it. Love it.

    STAINLESS STEEL RAT! Childhood favorite.

Also, Snow Crash. I'd be happy with any of those personal choice being Canticle and then Stainless Steel Rat.

    Happy face Neon.

Love seeing Snow Crash on this list. Especially for people who liked Ready Player One as this is probably one of its main spiritual fathers. I'd say that and Neuromancer, together with Blade Runner and Akira, perfectly embody Cyberpunk.

EDIT: I want to see how the tide turns with this. If a bunch of people want to read Snow Crash I'd gladly read it again (for the third or fourth time at this point). Otherwise I'd certainly go Old Man's War or Canticle. Canticle won the Hugo for best novel and I have yet to read a Hugo winner that wasn't terrific.

Definitely the only thing on the list within my sphere.

My instincts are to go with Canticle, but I'll look into all the books later.

Nice, they were jumping all over Old Mans War in that FAKE thread, wonder if this might go somewhere else.

Infinitely better choices here. I was all in on Old Man's War, but I really have been dying to read Snow Crash. That's where my vote goes.

Went with A Canticle for Leibowitz. Good opportunity to knock another book off my to-read list.

We should probably wait another 5 or so days for voting, and then acquire the book and start reading in September.

Well since Zombie Fallout doesn't have even one vote so far, I doubt there will be much participation in this month's thread.

I will declare the winner Monday the 26th, that will give one full week to get the book, I have Leibowitz (and the others) on audio, just will need some help on how to share if someone needs it from me.

    Do you have a Dropbox/Google Drive/Sydrive/Box/Cubby/Copy/Mega/MegaCloud/Tresorit/Bitcasa account? :action-sm

If not, I can explain how to set up one. How large are the audio book files?

Also, I uploaded the mobi files for Canticle, Snow Crash, and Old Man's War (entire trilogy) to the usual place. Let me know if you need the link or the epub format.

After glancing at the cloud storage options, I think the best to use for this would be mega.co.nz. Dropbox only gives you 2GB to start, and a 300mb/file upload limit unless you download the Windows app (not sure if you want to do that). Mega.co.nz gives you 50GB with no upload limit. It also has a cool feature where you can transfer files between accounts, if you don't want to download them to your device that second.
