First time this Social Problem class made me angry - livid, actually. We watched this tonight.

[yt]79ijDA_1FVY[/yt]

I wish I could channel Patrice to bitch smack this douche - and the whole class, who seemed to be in giddy, self-satisfied agreement.

I didn't detect a hint of dissent, even from the dudes. There really is no hope left.

Watched that in my Sociology class also, hated the fucking thing also (although I don't really remember it anymore).

:p Speaking of which, it took me a while to figure out, but I think this fella's just gay as shit and really bitter about some tough guys who bullied him when he was a kid. Can't really blame him for that, but he's so far off about everything that it's enraging. But fuck the prof for showing this meandering pile of nonsense and passing it off as intellectually sound. Want something to blame? It's called testosterone. Arousal + aggression in the same molecule. Simple. Ring Girls. End Of Story. As long as men feel the need to reproduce they're going to think violently and tend to make a show of it.

Fucking mickey mouse school, just gimme my tickey so I can go make 60k. I had a professor in a different course this semester who was so nervous, unprepared, confusing and inept that it defies belief. Incessant stammering/regrouping; running around looking for things for an hour before actually giving up on the lab entirely; shitty little blackboard drawings you couldn't make heads or tails of even if you were standing 3 feet in front of them. Submarining the lecture component because we were supposed to be learning something, shit, at least attempting to cover it. Giving people 15 or 20 extra points on "tests" out of guilt. Referring to lab practicals as "tests".

I won't even give him a bad review - I don't have the heart. (instead i'll come here and vent)

And oddly enough the 3rd prof I had is the best at raw teaching ability I've ever encountered. Dude deserves to be head of the department and I plan to say so on his review. Weird semester (to say the least).

I start school again in January at university of Tennessee-Chattanooga.

I'm eligible for ~7k$+ in grants and aid.

I also started a job delivering pizzas today as a placeholder job until I find something better. I'm seriously just thinking about quitting as they extend their delivery area to the only project housing in Chatt, with its most recent murder being in June. 4 drivers have been robbed since the beginning of the year, and of course, they waited until today to tell me this. A white boy in a BMW is just asking to be robbed in the projects.

New job search starts tomorrow. There's a Komat'su plant less than a mile from my place, most likely going to start looking there.

Delivering pizza in a BMW probably isn't a good idea in the first place. The trick to that job is disposable cars. Back when I delivered pizza (mid 90's), I'd buy a $400 Ford Escort and drive it until it died, then get another one. Gas was also less than $1 a gallon. Times were different.

Before I just woke up just now, I was dreaming I was studying (which I fell asleep doing), only I was studying things that weren't real. It was a whole different world/universe of made-up nonsense that I was committing to memory. What a waste of time. Fuckin dreams are weird.

I'm taking Finite Math right now and I've been doing math in my dreams for the entire semester. Ugh... math is fucking brain poison. Finals are next week and then I'm done with math for good(which is exactly what I said last math class before they tacked Finite Math on as a prereq... dirty fucks)

I went to bro university (suny Cortland) and Chinatown east (stony brook).

I think my degree is in my basement underneath some smelly upper deck 1990 baseball cards.

Thank god for nepotism.

Final semester at the community college starts tomorrow. Taking Intro to Software Applications (Office for Dummies basically) because I need to have that class to graduate, Bio 2, Calculus 2, and US History 1 (pre-revolution - reconstruction).

I graduated almost 2 years ago and haven't found a job in my field yet. I might be taking a job in Denver, CO as an admissions counselor for online courses in March. Not exactly what I wanted to do with life, but it beats the shit out of what I'm doing for a "living" now and gets me independent and on my own making over $35k a year.

Advice to anyone going into college, don't do a Criminal Justice degree unless you want to be a lawyer. No police agency or federal law enforcement agency gives a fuck that you have a degree in CJ when there are people who have field experience competing for the same job.

Well, today is the day that I get my Associate's Degree. I know in the long run it means jack shit, and nothing will matter until I get my Masters in a few years, but god dammit, after today I will be a college graduate!

Congrats.

I completed my first semester in 9 years since graduating HS this Spring. Made the dean's list, really wasn't difficult.

The Oh-See, Fuck-Asses
Resurrected old thread?
Okay.

I'm starting my Masters program in the Fall (MS Education - Higher Education Concentration) and now run graduation for a huge public university in Southern California. I've been on the admissions/transfer side of higher ed, and now I'm running the end, making sure people complete degree requirements and jump through all the administrative nonsense. Pay's not that great, but the benefits and prestige rule.

And my undergrad was French.
