Today O&A discussed Randy from the WBLI's morning show being suspended for insinuating that a prize pig lived in a trailer park in Mastic, Long Island...

Mastic may have been described as a white slum area... Erock said that zombies come out of Mastic's woods. O&A were angered that WBLI station manager, John Shea, would not stand by a show that he had supported by airing it.

Bob Vecchio, the president of the Mastic school board, called into the Greg & Tony & Patrice show and said that Randy should have been fired. O&A&P confronted him and he showed him to be an uptight douche but with narcissistic tendencies. Opie then thanked him for being on their show and said the real problem is with WBLI station manager, John Shea, who caved under such light pressure.

L.I. Radio Personality Suspended for Mastic Jokes

MASTIC, N.Y. (AP) -- A morning radio personality on Long Island station WBLI FM has been suspended for making uncomplimetary comments about the community of Mastic.

The broadcaster -- who goes by the name of "Randy'' - went on a riff of trailer trash jokes after a woman from the area won a free prize from the station Wednesday morning.

Randy continued the jokes Thursday morning rather than apologize -- mentioning Mastic in jokes about trailer trash, eating beans from cans and being toothless.

Paul Breschard -- a spokesman for the local civic association -- says the station "picked on an entire town.''

He says a coalition of civic groups emailed the station yesterday asking for an apology, and threatening to boycott advertisers until they get one.

The station has scheduled a news conference at 11:30 Friday morning to discuss the suspension of the broadcaster.

Breschard says Mastic is a south shore community of hard-working families, many of whom have converted summer cottages from the 1930s and 40s into year-round homes.

The President of the William Floyd School Board -- which covers the Mastic area -- is Bob Vecchio, who called for Randy to be fired.

The "people living in the woods" thing isn't just going on in shitty neighborhoods on Long Island... it's all over the island.

I posted about this way back...

01-08-2007

This shit is happening here on Long Island. They're cracking down on landlords who rent single-family houses to illegals who pack forty at a time into the houses. So they fine the landlord, and boot all the wetbacks out, and they have nowhere to go so they "camp out" in the woods. Now... Long Island isn't exactly like Montana, so by "woods" we're talking about postage stamp size lots of undeveloped land.

They found a bunch of these guys in the four acre undeveloped lot near my neighborhood. It's undeveloped because it's a power line corridor, and you could walk through the entire "woods" in about fifteen minutes. They found like ten of them living back there.

I live in a neighborhood where the average home price in nearly a million bucks... and I've got "farmworkers" camping down the street. WTF?
Check this out... Dee Snider lives in my old neighborhood where this was, and probably still is, going on.

He lived in a house that was easily over a million bucks... probably 1.4+ mil. His house was about 200 yards away from these woods. He's living in a nearly 1 and a half million dollar house, and he has homeless illegal aliens camping 200 yards from his front door.

Fucking Long Island. :icon_roll

Right before the boys started the XM side of the show today they played the clip of the guy who called in wanting to do a WOW sticker stop from his hot dog stand. He just happened to be from Mastic, Long Island.

Unfortunately you have to expect this shit nowadays. I mean, white people have the right to be little fucking babies the same as everyone else.

Blacks cry, Asians cry, Hispanics cry, why not white people?

This country truly is finished in more ways than one.

WW did you steal your horrific avatar from a dental office in Mastic?
Holy shit... funny you should mention that... I have a friend who's a dentist who has an office in Mastic. He said his practice is nothing but gum disease, extractions, and... "a couple of years ago I even did a set of dentures."

Since when did ripping on white trash ranking up there along with what Imus did. Seeing the pictures of Randy did make me shiver but also did picturing Patrice in a thong. At least there's no audio of the show Randy has to have a lisp thats more faggier than giving your friend a reacharound during a shower.

Here's another instance of political correctness going overboard. We are truly doomed as a nation. Now you can't even say white or trailer park trash without getting suspended or fired. It's frigging ridiculous.

"Shelter" casting director fired

The Associated Press

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The producers of the horror thriller "Shelter" have fired a casting director who put out what they say was an insensitive casting call for extras with unusual features to appear in a scene set in a "West Virginia holler."

The casting call from Donna Belajac Casting of Pittsburgh prompted an outcry from West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin and others who said it stereotypes West Virginians as inbred and carnival sideshows.

"Shelter" producers Emilio Diez Barroso and Darlene Caamano Loquet said the movie is not set in West Virginia and the state will not even be mentioned.

"On behalf of the entire SHELTER production we regret and are deeply sorry for the very insensitive casting call sent out without our knowledge by our casting director Donna Belajac who has been dismissed from this project as a result," Barroso and Loquet said in a statement issued Tuesday night.

The casting call said the film is looking for extras who are extraordinarily tall or short, those with unusual body shapes and unusual facial features, especially eyes, and even people with physical abnormalities as long as they have normal mobility.

"It's clear that they have no real understanding of who the people of West Virginia are," Manchin said. "And that's not only unfortunate, but in this case offensive. Certainly it doesn't sound like a movie worth watching."

The casting call also advertises for a 9- to 12-year-old white girl with an "other-worldly look ... could be an albino or something along those lines , she's someone who is visually different and therefore has a closer contact to the gods and to magic. 'Regular-looking' children should not attend this open call."

"Shelter" stars Julianne Moore and is being produced by Nala Films in Los Angeles. It is being filmed in Pittsburgh but the story's location is not specified.

Casting agency director Donna Belajac was in a casting session Tuesday and unavailable for comment. She told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review on Monday that the casting call was not meant to stereotype people from West Virginia.

"We tried to word it in a way that's not offensive," she told the newspaper. "I hope it's not an offensive thing. It's not meant to be a generalization about everyone in West Virginia. That's why we put that it's in a 'holler' in the mountains."

The casting call also prompted criticism from U.S. Reps. Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va., and Nick Rahall, D-W.Va.; U.S. Sen. Robert C. Byrd, D-W.Va., and Cecil E. Roberts, president of the United Mine Workers union.

"Why must it be automatically assumed by the surgically enhanced 'beautiful people' who populate Hollywood that those who live in the hills and hollows of places like West Virginia are all afflicted with physical abnormalities?" Roberts said.

Capito said West Virginians "are owed an apology for such careless and blatant stereotyping." Rahall said he was appalled at the casting call.

Byrd said, "Unfortunately, some in the filmmaking industry have decided that perpetuating stereotypes and insulting generations of West Virginians means cash at the box office."

My buddy went to school at Dowling and lived in Mastic. He said its a dump!
Told me about the birdman who puts bird seed all over his body and lays in the street and lets the birds cover him. Also about a lady who hangs in the local grocery with headphones on and screams Michael Jackson songs! haha.

Check out a tribute to Mastic! http://www.mymastic.com
