Currently watching a town hall on Fox Business called Capitalism vs Socialism. Kennedy is fucking Socialism's shit up. I love her.

I wonder if a decent audiobook would help warm me up to it? I dunno, I REALLY want to have read this goddamn book at some point. But fuck man, War and fucking Peace.
May I suggest listening to the audiobook while you're reading it. I have done that few times while reading books about history and it really helps with some of the dense ones.

Yeah, kinda looking at those kindles with that whispersync or whatever. That would help a lot. I'll just have someone professional read it to me while I barely pass my eyes over the highlighted portions on the screen, then I'll come in here and act like I just took down the whole damn thing raw dog.

Today I learned that Earth is a Libra.

Assassin by Joe Hamilton

The autobiography of one half of the infamous tag team the Assassins. I love me some old school wrestling, and I have a particular interest in the guys who were before my time and stars in territories I didn't grow up watching.

I have been reading and listening to Empires of Light: Edison, Tesla, Westinghouse, and the Race to Electrify the World, by Jill Jonnes and narrated by Chris Sorensen. Its fascinating reading about how people were in awe and a little bit terrified of electricity. I also liked how Harold Brown thought it was totally reasonable to electrocute dogs in order to prove that AC was more dangerous than DC.

Just finished Volume 1 (about 1/4th through the book). It's fantastic. The first 5-10% is a little tedious and seemingly trivial, and a ton of characters are introduced), but it adds context further on. I'm having trouble setting the book down now. And the number of characters and their names becomes less of a problem because they're all given such unique personalities.

Just wait until you read about Vladimir Demikhov.

It's freeing and refreshing
Just finished The Dog Stars by Peter Heller. Best book I’ve read in 2 years.
