It's weird, I'll rarely buy watermelon for the house, but love it when I'm outdoors in the hot sun. Reminds me of the get-togethers with family when I was a kid. Both grandfathers loved putting salt on it (and I like it too) and one died of a heart attack and the other a stroke. Go figger...

I love watermelon, and it's one of those foods you don't feel bad about eating a ton of, since it's mostly water. The only problem is, I have no idea how to tell if one's ripe, so the only time I get it is at family events. I wish there was some collection of databases linked together that I could search to learn how to pick good watermelons...

I love summer fruits and veggies. Sliced tomatoes and cucumbers in vinegar are my favorites.

Cukes, Tomatoes,Steamers with butter, Corn, and on a really hot day....Ice cold Rolling rock..dunno why, Rolling Rock always tastes best on a hot summer day.

K-Mart and some dollar stores. They're a dollar for a box of ten. Or you can get them on Amazon.

anything on the charcoal grill (not propane) fresh fruits and veggies and Thrashers hand cut beach fries cooked in peanut oil with vinegar and salt on them from Rehoboth beach Delaware and Ocean City MD.no ketchup available...only vinegar salt and old bay.

Jumbo MD Blueclaw crabs steamed with Old Bay type seasoning and Fresh corn on the cob with steamed shrimp and a favorite iced cold beverage.

I like to make watermelon smoooothies too. cut up and freeze the watermelon blend with some vodka and a little fat free half and half in the magic bullet...delicious and refreshing
