Sliver by Nirvana. Out of their entire pre-mortem library, that is my favourite song of their's. Post mortem, I would probably rank Do Re Mi as my favourite.

NOTE: Obviously, I meant songs that were unreleased when Kurt died, and were only released in 2004 on the With the Lights Out Box set, which I went out and bought the day it dropped.

Okay, I hate to throw a monkey wrench into the question, but I have heard this debate before. Is Alice in Chains considered a grunge band? Considering the fact that they came out a year before the grunge era started. I have always considered them a hard rock band. Because if they are considered grunge, then I have to change my answer.

And yes, Alice in Chains would be considered a grunge band.

Sliver by Nirvana.
Hunger Strike by Temple of the Dog

Those 3 songs define what grunge was in the 90's

Just because it hasn't been said and they haven't done much since, Cracker's "You" is pretty awesome when you're pissed at someone.
