When will the Opie and Anthony show be recognized as the biggest Morning radio show on satellite radio now? Howard is part time and the fans are dropping like flies. Who else is even close for their kind of format?

s/XM doesn't care about or appreciate talent. They made a huge mistake letting Stern work so little and paying him so much, they would be stupid to make the same mistake again and treat someone like O&A who don't really have any other viable place to go like they are crucial to their success. I do hope the boys get more money, but if they start with the Fridays off BS and get more vacation it will be bad for the listeners and S/XM.

I don't think there is a sole that thinks O&A will get more days off & a better deal
If they sign for less then I can see them agreeing to work less though

Jesus, heel my sole.

To address OP, O&A are not a bigger show than Howard. They might have more dedicated listeners at this point because of their schedule, but an unfunny hack like Eli Braden has 45k followers on Twitter because he's associated with Howard Stern. That's more than 1/3 of Opie's following.

Regardless of whether or not he still has more listeners than O&A, Stern can have a sharp effect on the stock price. He also has options beyond Satellite Radio, which O&A do not.

O&A have talent beyond their fame, while Stern has fame beyond his listenership.

When the Morning Mash Up retires?

That shit channel is number one on the platform.
NO IT ISN'T!!!!!!!!!! Opie and Anthony is the bestest and biggest thing ever.

And even if they were the biggest morning show on satellite radio- so what? What does that even mean?

I would guess that O&A have even less listeners than Stern.

The show turned into shit after the merger / failure returning to FM

I don't think its even close & Mel said about a month ago that Stern is the most listened to thing on the platform (when asked about the lawsuit)

even if Howard has more listeners, O&A make more money for the company because they cost a fraction of what Howard does.

NBC made more money when Carson retired and Leno took over even though rating dropped by half, because Leno didn't have the huge salary Carson did.

Possible but that still needs to be proven & if that is close to be true then O&A would have the worst agent in the world ...................... hey wait a sec

Siriusly they might as far as a % wise but I doubt as far as gross

I'm not convinced.

The amount they Pay O&A is just that. The amount they pay THEM.
Add in what they pay Jimmy plus what they pay ALL of the staff for O&A.

What they Pay "Howard" is different. They are paying him, hen he has to pay all of his producers, staff, bookers, as well as a lot of the other things.

Also, Someone who is paying say $80,000/month to advertise on Stern's channel's is probably only paying $1000/month to advertise on O&A's channel.

Whether you like it or not, O&A are nowhere NEAR as popular as Stern from any standpoint.

A) Advertising Potential
B) Total Listeners
C) Name Recognition
D) Crossover Potential (America's Got Talent)

Also, there are most likely FAR less people who would unsub if O&A were let go versus if Stern were let go.

There are also the deals with the car companies, Stern is a name that might keep them interested in renewing their contracts versus O&A who are the guys who had listeners fuck in a church.
