I went into one like a month because I was on this running outside kick and a couple miles from home I really had to piss.

I also checked my email while I was there.

It was actually packed.

Like two weeks ago because I was doing this research assignment for work where I actually had to look at historical TV shit from before TV ratings were even invented. Please don't ask me why because I probably argued about it for like a half hour.

Last week returning some books. I go every couple of months and get a couple of books to read when I know I'll have a slow period to read them.

Books at the library = free (well, taxes pay for the library so why not use it?). You can rent videos and stuff there for no cost as well. My library has comics and stuff, too.

A couple months ago. I was hoping they had wireless internet, but alas, they didn't. It wasn't my hometown, and therefore I was unable to log on.

Spring 2003. I was away from home and had to fix my non-working laptop. Went to the local library to download some drivers.

About a month ago....I lay off going there when I know I don't have a lot of time to read if it's something I think I can't finish before it's due. I have way to many "owned" books so I decided to start hitting the library so I wouldn't buy more. My library has a pretty sweet graphic novel section in it.

Two days ago. But I'm in school. But if I weren't, probably I'd still go to libraries.

But the best place for books is an old book store. The smell, the vibe, the selection. I can spend hours in those places, no matter if they are as big as a coffin.

Tuesday.

I love libraries. I love to read. I go to the library every other week or so. I usually wind up getting anywhere from a dozen to two dozen books at times (never less than half a dozen).....I usually get so many damn books that I literally never read them all. Sometimes not even half of them. But that's not the point, I get them because they interest me and I'll get around to reading all of them, eventually.

No matter how much the internet has affected watching movies or watching TV or listening to music, there is nothing online that can replicate actually holding a book. I find it next to impossible to read a novel on the computer whereas I can watch a movie, TV show or listen to an album on it.

I just wish I had more time to read for pleasure. I always forget how much I enjoy it until I actually sit down and read it.

1993 when I was a senior in high school. I never really read any books, unless it was something I really wanted to read. I think the only book I ever finished in school was superfudge in like 4th grade or something. Just couldn't get into it.
