T.I's new album is my favorite. He hasn't put out an album I was really into since King and that was in 2006.

This new one though, Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head is incredible.

My favorite song off this album though:

T.I and Andre 3000 - Sorry

as much as i like converge, i think this record blows. especially following "axe to fall"

but my pick for best album of 2012 is High on Fire's "De Vermis Mysteriis"

runners up go to Barroness and Graveyard

I cant argue that the album is anything amazing but I think I have bought 2 or 3 albums in the last 2 years. I kind of walled myself off when it comes to new shit, I have to get back out there and find some new shit to listen to.

I can only think of the new Soundgarden one, but I need to let it grow on me.

Favourite song from it so far is By Crooked Steps.

Its one of these three albums, but the order changes from week to week:

Orange Goblin's A Eulogy For The Damned. The song is "Death of Aquarius".

Dublin Death Patrol's Death Sentence. The song is "Blood Sirens".

Kreator's Phantom Antichrist. The song is "From Flood Into Fire".

Honorable mention to Grand Magus's Iron Will (2008). But I discovered the album this year. The song is "Like The Oar Strikes The Water".

Deftones - Koi No Yokan

Japandroids - Celebration Rock
LoG - Resolution

Despite two of my favorite bands releasing albums it wasn't that great of a year for me. I suppose I'll find things this year that were released in 2012 that I missed, as usual.

Easy. Devin Townsend's 'Epicloud'. The best thing he has done since 'Terria'.

Also, any of the five fan-funded albums Ginger Wildheart put out this last year.

No, he literally put out five albums, all paid for by fans. And a sixth comes out in a few days.Easily the greatest achievement in music of 2012.

Proof that smoking weed kills brain cells. Whoever wrote that "rap" should have their fingers removed with a lawnmower.
